On 20th October from 16.00 to 17.00 BST (UTC/GMT+1) Primary School Leaders, Teachers, Parents and anyone keen to make a difference to health, wellbeing and educational achievement of our children are invited to join the launch of our free new offering for schools – The Big 5 Project: Inside Weather and School Community Climate.
5 Big Values – 5 Big SEL Skills – 5 Weeks
Individually we create the weather, together we can change the climate.
From the creators of The Big Think PSHE Programme, The Big 5 Project is a free, collaborative, Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) project for Primary Schools to enhance learning environments so everyone can thrive.
This workshop will help you run The Big Five Project at your school and unite your entire school community in accepting a shared responsibility for establishing a safe, caring and enabling learning atmosphere for everyone.
The session will introduce our 5 Assembly and Lesson Kits for age 5-11 year olds (TRUTH, PEACE, LOVE, RESPONSIBILITY, COMMUNITY) that will begin the journey of understanding ourselves, respecting others and caring about the planet.
Sessions include:
- Silent Sitting meditations by Calm for Kids mindfulness specialists
- Real-world stories edited by The Big Think Lead Author Maisie Chan (Danny Chung Does Not Do Maths – winner Jhalak Prize 2022, Runner-up Blue Peter Book Awards 2022)
- Values Inquiry and Big Circles
- Journaling
- Songs by Big Thinkers Band (from Pssap – Grey’s Anatomy soundtrack creators)
Come and join The Big Think Community!
