This is a celebration of World Values Day and explores this year’s theme of Values for Community. After an introduction by Dr Rahul Varma, eminent speakers with an enormous breadth of experience on values, ethics and justice will discuss the importance of values in building and sustaining healthy and flourishing communities.

The speakers include a former Chief Justice of India, a global philanthropist and humanitarian, a former Director General of Police, and two internationally renowned speakers on values in action.

Speakers

**Hon Justice K.G. Balakrishnan**
KG Balakrishnan is former Chief Justice of India , Chairman, National Human Rights Commission of India and Chairman, and Chairman of Public Police – an NGO recently established with support of former high Court Judges, former senior IAS Officers, former Law Secretaries and other distinguished members from different walks of life. The Supreme Court’s first Dalit Chief Justice, he served on the Supreme Court for ten years, including three years as Chief Justice.

**Dr HP Kanoria**
Dr Kanoria is Chairman of Universal Spirituality & Humanity Foundation. He is a renowned industrialist, banker, journalist, educationist, philanthropist, social awakener with the mission and vision for enhancing spiritual value service to humanity and taking up the cause for women awakening. Besides several humanitarian awards, he has been conferred The Global Man of the Year at the 3rd Annual Global Officials of Dignity (G.O.D) Awards, held in August 2015 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

**Dr. Vikram Singh**
Dr Singh is an Indian educationist and former Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh. He joined the IPS in 1974, and held the post of Director General of Police in the state of Uttar Pradesh 2007 – 2009. He completed M.Sc from Allahabad university in 1972 and Ph.D (Ecology) from Kumaon university in 1990. He twice received President’s police Medal for his long distinguished and meritorious services, and authored two books, “Ecosystems of Central Himalayas” and “Human Rights and Police” (NHRC Award Winner).

**Alan Williams**
Alan is founder & MD, SERVICEBRAND GLOBAL, and helps leaders of progressive service sector organisations, internationally and in the UK, to deliver significantly better business performance and a service excellence culture through values-driven organizational alignment. He is a published author and international speaker whose projects have delivered measurable business impact across a balanced scorecard of measures and been recognised with industry awards.

**Dr Neil Hawkes**
Neil is internationally well-known as an inspirational speaker, educator, broadcaster, author and social commentator. He first gained international recognition as Headteacher in Oxfordshire, UK where he worked with a school community to devise and implement a pedagogical system that would give pupils a transformational ethical vocabulary, based on values such as respect, tolerance, humility and justice. Neil founded The International Values based Trust and its educational arm Values-based Education. His latest book co-authored with Jane Hawkes, is The Inner Curriculum, how to nurture wellbeing, resilience and self-leadership.

**Dr Rahul Varma**
Dr Varma is a multifaceted Corporate Executive and Philanthropist with a distinguished career in diverse roles spanning over 37 years. A leader whether Corporate or Charity with a strong vision and dedication to his commitments. He has held Strategic Senior Position with Large Companies in India as Director and President. He was associated with various Chambers of Commerce and currently heading Several Social Impact Initiatives and Foundations.
