Panel discussion about how our values show up in our work as graduate students in an ever-changing world.
Studying in a highly competitive environment with a completely international student body of over 300 peers brings unique opportunities and unique challenges.
In such a setting, our personal and cultural values can sometimes collide. What happens when the very values that shape who we are also become barriers to creating effective, collaborative teams? Too often, we judge others through our own value lens, limiting our ability to recognize them as assets, especially when societal values differ.
How do we bridge these gaps? How can we move from judgment to acceptance, from division to common ground while still holding true to what matters most to us?
Together we’ll explore three student experiences of navigating these dilemmas, finding ways to build high performing international teams while staying true to personal integrity and respecting the diverse values of others.
This interactive panel will not only share lived experiences but also invite your voice into the conversation. Expect honest dialogue, live audience polls, and a chance to ask your own questions as we explore how values can be both a compass and a bridge in shaping our shared future.
