Explore a values toolkit which helps primary educators facilitate critical thinking and emotional intelligence in the classroom by putting human values into action every day.
‘How to think, not what to think’ – facilitating ‘safe uncertainty’ without needing to have all the answers.
This toolkit for Ages 8-11 helps primary educators facilitate critical thinking and emotional intelligence in the classroom and can be used to implement rituals, routines and language around any existing PSHE and RSHE provision.
In particular, the toolkit meets the guiding principles of the 2026 RSHE statutory requirements for England, including making provision ‘relevant and responsive’ and enabling ‘skilled delivery of participative education’.
Participants have the opportunity of a free 2-week trial of The BIG 5 programme once they have attended the webinar.
The BIG 5 Teacher Toolkit comprises:
- Our Class CONNECT Code – classroom guidelines that show values in action
- 15 Values-based Mindfulness Tracks – building self-regulation skills
- 25 Life Skills – practising putting our values in action
- BIG Feelings Compass – building self-awareness skills
- BIG Stories for Empathy and Critical Thinking – 62 values-based stories for children aged 8-11.
