Description

Does your heart ache a little when you see your child’s face light up more by a screen than by a conversation with you? You’re not just imagining it. There's a silent battle being waged for our children's hearts and minds, fought on the battlegrounds of social media and academic pressure. This constant digital noise is eroding the very foundations of respect, connection, and kindness we are trying so hard to build. If you feel like you're losing this fight, please know you are not alone, and it is not your fault. The old parenting playbook is obsolete, and it’s time for a beautiful, profound shift back to what truly matters. Organised by M Pover Academy

Hope is fundamental. It motivates us to act, to keep going. But it is not optimism - expecting things to turn out as we would wish. It requires realism and courageous discernment, and is crucial to how we cope with illness, dying and disaster. For healthcare practitioners, hope is key for healing and therapeutic relationships. We will hear from distinguished doctors who care for those who face deep existential challenges - persons who are dying and migrants who are bereft and homeless. How do they nurture hope in these circumstances? Participants will be able to explore and share their own experiences when giving or receiving care. The event is organised by the Human Values in Healthcare Forum (HVHF).
